It is black paste. It is filler. It is sold in a good jar with a photo of a mountain on it. You cannot tell by looking. That is why it works.
Ours comes from Himalayan rock. Above eighteen thousand feet. It is purified the old way. It is tested in a lab before it is sealed.

How to test any jar
Warm water. It should dissolve clean.
Warmth. It should soften.
Cold. It should harden.
Smell. It should smell of earth. Not of sugar.

If they cannot give you the report, you have your answer.
How to take it
Scoop a piece the size of a grain of rice.
Put it in warm water or warm milk.
Drink it in the morning.
Do it every day.
In winter the jar goes hard. Put it in warm water for two minutes. Real resin does this. Fake resin stays soft all year.
Keep it cool and dry. Keep the lid tight.
